Paragon Park was an amusement park located on Nantasket Beach that opened in 1905 and closed in 1984. The 1928 Paragon Park Carousel was moved to the nearby Paragon Park Museum. The Giant Rollercoaster, which was built in 1917 and was the tallest roller coaster in the world for eight years, is now operated under the name “The Wild One” at Six Flags America. The painting is based on an old uncredited postcard.
