Closed after 1977

I couldn’t find any information about this dance school, which is why there’s no date of destruction on this painting.

Once located on 218, Lambeth Road, London SE1 7JH. Map ref. 51°29’42.3″N 0°07’02.5”W. From 1965 -1977 I learned to ballroom and latin dance, and then to teach dancing there. Disco happened for me in 1977, and all of a sudden latin dancing no longer seemed the centre of the universe… Sadly, long gone. Building still there, but now offices which makes it even sadder. One more cha cha cha on that lovely wooden, sprung floor would make me very happy.  Kerry M.
