Caneel Bay Resort was an environmentally focused 170 acre resort with 166 simple cabins, originally established by the Rockefeller family on land that they kept for themselves after donating more than 5,000 acres to form the Virgin Islands National Park. It was badly damaged in the 2017 by Hurricanes Irma and Maria and has been closed since due to a dispute between its current owner, CBI Acquisitions, and the National Park Service.

Was an amazing resort built during the Rockefeller’s era after they gifted the US government 90% of the land on St. Johns. John C.
