Dietze’s Bavarian Wurst Haus was a German restaurant and purveyor of German specialty foods located on Appleton Avenue in Milwaukee. It opened in the 1960s and specialized in German sausages. It closed in the early 1990s. I don’t know who took the photograph on which this painting is based.

I’m missing the smell of the smoked hams and the beautiful display of all the sausages hanging along the tiled the wall. Margarete H.
